Hey there! This week I am going to chat through some of the games I have been playing a lot in my spare time. Even though I have been working a lot, I like to take some time to play some games at the end of the day, and on the weekends. I do not play every day, but there are some nights where I only sit and play a game all night. There is a variety of console, handheld, and PC games that I have been working through. Let me know if these are any of the games you have been playing a lot as well.
We will start with Wii U games. The Wii U is the only console that I own, and I have been definitely using it a lot since I purchased it. I fully completed my first game (Legend of Zelda, Twilight Princess) on this system, and I am now on a role, trying to play through and complete a bunch of games. I am definitely looking forward to buying a Switch, when I have planned out my funds to get one, and maybe get a TV that can handle having all of my systems plugged into it.
One of the games I have recently purchased is Hyrule Warriors, and I am obsessed with it. It is a combination of story and fighting games that I really enjoy. I was always a sucker for a good fighting game when I was younger, and this is a great mixture of both things. I played it a crap ton when I first picked it up, but I got frustrated with a certain point, and am just now playing it again. For me, it is great stress reliever, because fighting games can really get you to focus on defeating something, which you can correlate with defeating whatever is stressing you out at the moment. That is what really draws me to fighting games, and being able to fight with Legend of Zelda characters, makes it even better.
I also picked up Yoshi’s Woolly World, and one of the main reasons I bought it was for the adorable Yoshi amiibo. I got the pink Yoshi amiibo, and it is so adorable. I would love to crochet the amiibo just for fun, in my spare time. This game is a great platformer for a younger audience, since it is a lot cuter when you defeat enemies in this game. Yoshi has always been my favorite Mario character, but I have never gotten around to playing a Yoshi game, which is one of the main reasons I wanted to play this one. Also, the art style really appeals to my crocheting hobby, which makes me love it even more.
On to handheld games. The only handheld system I have running is my 3DS, but I also have a Gameboy Advanced that I pull out from time to time. If you have been up to date on the blogs, you know that I have been super obsessed with Pokémon Sun for the past like 3 months. I have only 2 Pokémon left, and I will have completed the Pokédex! I am very excited about it, because this is something I have never accomplished in a Pokémon game before. Now, I have discovered the Island Scan Pokémon, and I am excited about it because I don’t want to put this game away, since I have been really loving it.
The other game I have been playing a lot is Mario Party Star Rush. I got it when it first came out, and I have been obsessed with playing it. I am happy that they have come out with a Mario Party for the handheld system, because the last Mario Party for Wii U is not my favorite one. I always wished I had a Nintendo system when I was younger so I could play Mario Party, because my cousins had one, and we would play it when we were at their house. The only thing that I wish you could do with the new Mario Party is play it online with other people that are not in the same room as you. My friend Reed and I are always looking for games to play together online, and this would be a great one for us to play. Unfortunately, it is not. I love the variety of game modes there are, and also the fact that when you play more, you unlock more characters and game modes. It makes playing this game even more rewarding.
I have never been super into PC games, but I have been starting to play them a little bit more. The main PC game I have been playing lately is Guild Wars. Last year when I moved to Lidgerwood, my friend Reed said I should at least try Guild Wars, because it is a game we could play together online. I was obsessed with it for a while last year, and my friends and I played it a lot. I stopped playing it once I got my Wii U, since I had purchased Twilight Princess along with it. Recently, I have picked it up again, and have been loving it all over again. I have been trying to level up as quickly as I can, so I can get further through the story. I am currently working with a level 43 Mesmer, and I have had a lot of fun with this character. It would be awesome to create another character that is a completely different race and type, so I can figure out if I like what I have been working with. This game is free to play when you are starting out. If you would like to get passed a certain point in the game, you will have to purchase Heart of Thorns. I have not done this yet, but I am waiting to see if it will go on sale to do so.
Those are the games that I have been really been into lately! Let me know which games you have been playing a lot recently, and also let me know if there are any games that I should be playing based on the ones I talked about today. I hope you guys have an amazing week, and I hope you join me next week for another post!
